Terms of Service

Last updated: August 25, 2026
In plain terms: Most services are booked and paid online through Square. Mobile Notary is priced by quote. To cancel, email us at least 24 hours ahead for a refund or reschedule; with less notice, or for a no-show, refunds are not available. Please arrive on time with valid ID and any required forms. We provide fingerprinting, notary, and apostille services — we do not decide whether an agency accepts your submission or approves your application.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of texasfingerprint.com and the services provided by Texas Fingerprint & Notary (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By scheduling an appointment, making a payment, or using any service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our services

We provide, by appointment: Live Scan and ink fingerprinting (including FD-258, FDLE, FINRA, EDO, FBI background checks, and ATF/NFA submissions), notary services (including general notary, loan signing, wills & trusts, and mobile notary), and apostille services (federal and state document authentication). Availability of a specific service depends on the requirements of the requesting agency.

3. Appointments, payment & quotes

  • By appointment. Services are provided by appointment. Same-day appointments are often available, subject to schedule.
  • Payment. Most services are booked and paid online through Square at the time you reserve. Your appointment is confirmed once payment is received.
  • Mobile Notary — by quote. Mobile Notary is priced by quote because travel, timing, and document requirements vary. We will confirm your quote before scheduling; no service is performed until the quote is accepted.
  • Pricing. Prices are as shown at booking or as quoted. Government, agency, or third-party fees (if any) are separate and may be required by the agency, not by us.

4. Cancellations, refunds & rescheduling

  • Cancel by email, 24 hours ahead. To cancel, you must email us at info@texasfingerprint.com at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
  • 24+ hours’ notice. If you cancel by email at least 24 hours before your appointment, you are eligible for a refund or to reschedule.
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, a refund is not available. You may reschedule your appointment instead.
  • No-shows. We reserve and staff the time for your appointment. If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment when we are present and ready, a refund is not available, and whether you may reschedule is at the sole discretion of Texas Fingerprint & Notary. A missed appointment is the customer’s responsibility.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Arrive on time with a valid, government-issued photo ID.
  • Bring any agency forms, ORI numbers, reference codes, or documents required for your service.
  • Provide accurate information. You are responsible for confirming your agency’s specific requirements before your appointment.
  • For notary services, understand that a notary cannot give legal advice or prepare legal documents.

6. Service outcomes & agency decisions

We capture and transmit your fingerprints or documents accurately and professionally. We do not control, and are not responsible for, whether the receiving agency accepts a submission, the results of a background check, processing times, or whether an application, license, or authentication is approved. Those decisions are made solely by the relevant agency or authority.

7. Website & intellectual property

The content, branding, logo, and design of texasfingerprint.com are owned by Texas Fingerprint & Notary and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree not to misuse the website or interfere with its operation.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Our services are provided on a professional, good-faith basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for delays or decisions of third-party agencies.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the appropriate courts located in Texas.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
